How do I pay for home care services?
APEX Home Care is contracted with the Illinois Department on Aging to provide home care services under the Community Care Program for those who qualify at no cost to the client. The Community Care Program is one of the 1915(c) waivers for home and community-based services under the Medicaid Program.
Who qualifies for in-home care services under the Community Care Program?
If you or your loved one:
- Are 60 years old or older;
- Are either U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens within the specific categories;
- Are residents of Illinois; and
- Meet all current eligibility requirements.
You may qualify for FREE home care service under the Community Care Program.
Are APEX caregivers screened and trained?
Our home care aides are caring, warmhearted people who take pleasure in helping others. We screen them carefully and train them extensively before allowing them to enter our clients’ homes to ensure the highest standard of quality and a superior level of service.
All our staff is required to complete:
- Background checks including fingerprinting;
- Reference check;
- 24-hour pre-service training and skill check;
- 12 hours in-service training annually.
Does medicare pay for in-home care services?
Medicare does not pay for in-home care services.
