Did you know that APEX Home Health and Hospice is mandated to have an Emergency Preparedness and Contingency Plan for maintaining business during extreme heat, extreme cold, blizzards, pandemic….and more.
Preparedness is defined by DHS/FEMA as "a continuous cycle of planning, organizing, training, equipping, exercising, evaluating, and taking corrective action in an effort to ensure effective coordination during incident response." This cycle is one element of a broader National Preparedness System to prevent, respond to, and recover from natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other disasters.
Home Health and Hospice have established Emergency Response Teams. These Response Members are responsible for tracking emergencies and preparing strategies that allow APEX to ensure the safety of our employees, patients and clients, while ensuring the continued operations of APEX Health Service, service lines.
